2Keys and Dalhousie University Continue to Build Applied Research Collaboration - Receive Engage Plus Grant

(OTTAWA and TORONTO) June 6, 2017 - 2Keys Corporation, a Canadian Information Technology Security Company, is pleased to announce that in collaboration with Dr. Nur Zincir-Heywood of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, they have received an Engage Plus Grant from the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). 2Keys is a long-time partner in the development of advanced, Canadian-centric information security solutions.

Dr. Nur Zincir-Heywood, in collaboration with 2Keys will continue to explore the relevant methodologies and approaches to identify different behaviours within the network environment. “This research initiative will lead to progress in the dynamic analysis of network traffic data enhancing the protections provided by managed security services. Researchers trained through this project will be valuable assets to 2Keys as well as a wide range of Canadian organizations." said Dr. Zincir-Heywood.

About Dr. Nur Zincir-Heywood
Dr. Nur Zincir-Heywood is currently a Professor of Computer Science at Dalhousie University, Canada. She received her PhD in 1998 in Computer Science and Engineering from Ege University, Turkey. Prior to moving to Dalhousie in 2000, Dr. Zincir-Heywood had been a researcher at Sussex University, UK and Karlsruhe University, Germany as well as working as an instructor at the Internet Society Network Management workshops. She has published over 150 papers on networks, security and intelligent systems. She has substantial experience in industrial research of autonomous systems, network management and security related topics. She is also a member of the IEEE and the ACM.
